Does Figma Use Artboards?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 11:47 pm

Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool – think Adobe Illustrator, but with way more features geared towards web design and app development. One of the things that sets Figma apart from its competitors is its use of artboards.

PRO TIP: If you are working on a design in Figma and you want to use artboards, be aware that there is currently a known issue with artboards in Figma. If you move an object on one artboard and then try to move it again on a different artboard, the object may become stuck in place and you will not be able to move it. This issue is being investigated and a fix is expected to be released soon. In the meantime, if you need to use artboards in your design, it is recommended that you do not move objects between artboards.

An artboard is essentially a blank canvas that you can use to create your designs. You can add as many artboards as you like to a project, and each one can be different sizes and resolutions. This makes Figma perfect for designing responsive web pages or apps that need to look good on different screen sizes.

So, does Figma use artboards? Yes, it does! And they’re a great way to keep your designs organized and easy to work on.
