How do you hand off Figma to developer?

Handoff is a process of transferring authority for a project from one individual to another. This is typically done when the original project leader is no longer available, or when the team size grows too large for one person to handle.

There are many ways to hand off Figma to a developer. One option is to have a dedicated handoff meeting where the developers are briefed on the project and the requirements.

Another option is to have the developer clone the project and start working from scratch. whichever option is chosen, it is important to follow a process to ensure a smooth transition.

Some tips for handoff include:

– Make sure everyone on the team is aware of the handoff plan.

PRO TIP: When handing off a Figma file to a developer, it is important to first export any assets that will be used in the project. To do this, select the asset in the Assets panel and click the “Export” button in the top-right corner of the panel. Choose your preferred export settings and click “Export” again.

Once all assets have been exported, go to the File menu and select “Publish to Team Library.” Choose which team you would like to publish the file to, then click “Publish.”

It is also a good idea to provide developers with a link to the Figma file, in case they need to reference it later on.

– Set up a timeline for the handoff, and communicate it to everyone involved.

– Make sure all the required files are available before the handoff.

– Arrange a meeting where the developers can ask any questions they may have.

– assure the developers that you will keep an eye on their work and make any necessary changes.
