How Do I Manage Fonts in Figma?

There are two ways to manage fonts in Figma: either using the default system fonts, or by downloading and installing custom fonts.

To use the default system fonts, simply select the text layer in the Layers panel and then choose a font from the drop-down menu in the Text tab of the Inspector. You can also change the font size, color, and alignment from here.

PRO TIP: Figma is a great tool for managing fonts, but there are a few things to keep in mind when using it. First, make sure that you have the latest version of Figma installed. Second, when you add a new font to Figma, it will automatically be added to your account and will be available to use in all future projects. However, if you delete a font from Figma, it will also be deleted from your account. Finally, keep in mind that Figma only supports a limited number of file formats for fonts (TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2). If you try to upload a font in a different format, it will not be added to your account.

If you want to use custom fonts, you’ll first need to download and install them on your computer. Then, open the Fonts panel (under the Window menu) and click the “Add Fonts” button. This will open a Finder window; simply navigate to the location of your downloaded fonts and select them.

Once they’re added to Figma, you can select them in the same way as you would any other font. Just open the Fonts panel, click on the font you want to use, and then click on the “Apply” button.

Finally, you can also style your text using HTML tags. To do this, simply select the text layer in the Layers panel and then choose “Edit as HTML” from the Text tab of the Inspector. This will open a code editor where you can add your HTML tags.
