How Do I Create a Locked Page in Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 2:00 am

There are a few different ways that you can create locked pages in Squarespace. One way is to create a password-protected page.

To do this, you’ll need to go to the “Settings” tab for the page you want to lock. Under the “Page Password” section, you’ll need to enter a password for the page. Once you’ve done that, anyone who tries to view the page will be prompted to enter the password.

Another way to create locked pages is by using the Member Area feature. With this feature, you can create members-only areas on your website where only registered users can access certain pages or content.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that creating a locked page in Squarespace may not be as secure as you think. Although the page will be password protected, there are still ways for someone to access the content on the page. If you are concerned about security, it is best to use another method to protect your content.

To set this up, you’ll need to go to the “Settings” tab and then select “Member Areas.” From there, you’ll be able to set up your members-only areas.

If you want to lock a page so that only certain people can view it, you can also use the Access Restrictions feature. With this feature, you can restrict access to a page based on user roles (e.g., admin, editor, etc.).

To set this up, you’ll need to go to the “Settings” tab and then select “Access Restrictions.” From there, you’ll be able to restrict access to the page based on user roles.

All of these methods will allow you to create locked pages on your Squarespace website. Choose the method that best fits your needs and then follow the instructions above to get started.
