How Do I Show Authors on Squarespace?

Last updated on December 21, 2022 @ 5:03 pm

There are a few different ways that you can go about showing authors on Squarespace. You can either use the built-in author pages, or you can create a custom solution using code.

If you want to use the built-in author pages, then you can go to the Settings > Reading & Layout section of your dashboard and enable them. Once they’re enabled, each author on your site will have their own page that shows all of their posts.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to show authors on your Squarespace website, be aware that this may result in decreased traffic and engagement. This is because visitors will not be able to see the content that they are interested in at a glance, and will instead have to scroll through a list of authors to find what they are looking for. In addition, this may also make it more difficult for search engines to index your content, which could further hurt your traffic.

If you want more control over how authors are shown on your site, then you can create a custom solution using code. For example, you could create a template that shows a list of all authors on your site, or you could create a widget that shows the author’s name and avatar next to each post.

Whichever method you choose, make sure that you style the text using HTML tags so that it looks nice on your site. Using <p>, <b> and <u> tags will help to make your text stand out and be easy to read.
