Can I Have a Freelancer and Client Account on UpWork?

Last updated on September 30, 2022 @ 11:30 am

PRO TIP: Upwork is a great platform for freelancers and clients to connect, but it’s important to remember that you can only have one account on Upwork. This means that if you’re a freelancer, you can’t have a client account and vice versa. If you try to create two accounts, Upwork will disable both accounts.

There are plenty of reasons why you might want to have both a freelancer and client account on UpWork. Maybe you want to hire someone to help with a project, but you also want to offer your services as a freelancer.

Or maybe you’re just interested in seeing what projects are available on the site. Whatever the reason, it’s perfectly fine to have both types of accounts.

There are a few things to keep in mind if you’re thinking about having both a freelancer and client account on UpWork. First, you’ll need to use a different email address for each account.

You can’t have both accounts under the same email address. Second, you’ll need to be sure to log into each account separately. If you try to log into your freelancer account while logged into your client account (or vice versa), you’ll be automatically logged out of the first account.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your payment method will be different for each account. If you’re using a credit card as your payment method for your client account, you’ll need to use PayPal as your payment method for your freelancer account (and vice versa). This is because UpWork uses different payment processors for clients and freelancers.

So, can you have both a freelancer and client account on UpWork? Yes, you can! Just be sure to keep the above information in mind when setting up and using your accounts.
