How Do I Accept Donations on WooCommerce?

When you’re running a WooCommerce store, you might want to give your customers the option to make donations. Fortunately, WooCommerce makes it easy to accept donations. In this article, we’ll show you how to accept donations on WooCommerce.

First, you’ll need to install and activate the WooCommerce Donations plugin. For more information, see our article on how to install a WordPress plugin.

Once the plugin is activated, you’ll need to go to WooCommerce > Settings > Donations and configure the plugin settings. Here you can set the default donation amount, choose whether donors can enter their own amount, and decide whether to display the donation form on the product page or cart page.

Now that you’ve configured the plugin settings, let’s take a look at how to add a donation product to your WooCommerce store. Go to WooCommerce > Products and click on the Add Product button. On the add product page, enter a product name and description.

Scroll down to the Product Data section and select Simple Product. Then, in the General tab, set your price to 0.00. This will make sure that donors can enter their own donation amount.

Next, go to the Donation tab and check the box next to “Enable this product as a Donation”. You can then enter a suggested donation amount and choose whether donors can enter their own amount.

Save your changes and preview your product to make sure everything looks good. Then publish your product when you’re ready.

In conclusion, accepting donations on WooCommerce is easy with the right plugin. With just a few clicks, you can add a donation product to your store and start collecting donations from your customers.

PRO TIP: When creating a donations page on WooCommerce, be sure to include a clear and concise description of how the donations will be used. Include a link to your organization’s website or donation page so that donors can verify that the donation will be going to a legitimate cause. Be sure to also include information on how the donor can contact you if they have any questions about the donation.
