How Do I Take Down My Wix Website?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 1:43 am

There are a few reasons you might want to take down your Wix website. Maybe you’re no longer using the site and want to cancel your subscription.

Or maybe you need to take the site down for some maintenance and don’t want people to see it while it’s under construction. Whatever the reason, taking down a Wix site is easy to do.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

First, log in to your Wix account. Then, go to the “My Sites” page and click on the site you want to take down.

On the left-hand side of the screen, there will be a tab that says “Site Manager.” Click on that.

Under the “Site Manager” tab, you’ll see a button that says “Remove Site.” Click on that, and then confirm that you want to remove the site. Once you do that, your Wix website will be taken down and will no longer be accessible to anyone.

Of course, if you later decide that you want to put your Wix website back up, you can always log in to your account and follow the same steps to add it again.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about taking down your Wix website, there are a few things you should know. First, unless you have a paid plan, your website will be deleted permanently and you will not be able to get it back. Second, if you have a paid plan, you can only cancel your subscription, which will allow you to keep your website up for the remainder of the paid period. After that, your website will be deleted.

In conclusion, taking down a Wix website is easy to do as long as you have an account with Wix. All you need to do is go to the “My Sites” page, click on the site you want to remove, and then click on the “Remove Site” button under the “Site Manager” tab. Once you confirm that you want to remove the site, it will be taken down immediately.
