What Is Item Image Ratio on Weebly?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 5:56 pm

When it comes to Weebly, the item image ratio is an important aspect to consider. It is the size of the image in relation to the size of the container that it is in. For example, if you have a Weebly container that is 400 pixels wide and your image is 200 pixels wide, then your item image ratio would be 1:2.

In general, Weebly recommends that you keep your item image ratio between 1:1 and 1:3 for best results. Anything outside of that range can start to look distorted or unprofessional. Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule, so if you have a specific reason for wanting to use an image that is outside of that range, then go for it!

PRO TIP: Item image ratio on Weebly refers to the size of an item’s image in relation to the size of the Weebly page on which it is displayed. Item image ratio can be set to one of three values: auto, stretch, or constrain.

Auto – The image will be displayed at its original size.

Stretch – The image will be stretched to fit the page. This may result in distortion of the image.

Constrain – The image will be resized to fit the page, but the original aspect ratio of the image will be maintained. This may result in empty space appearing around the edges of the image.
