How Do You Use Mockup Plugins in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 12:51 am

Mockups are a key part of the design process, allowing designers to test out ideas and get feedback early on in the process. Figma has a number of different mockup plugins that can be used to create realistic looking prototypes.

To use a mockup plugin in Figma, first select the frame that you want to apply the mockup to. Then, go to the ‘Plugins’ menu and choose the ‘Mockups’ option.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that Figma does not currently support plugins. While you may be able to find some creative workarounds, we do not recommend using mockup plugins in Figma at this time.

This will bring up a list of all the available mockup plugins. Simply select the one you want to use and it will be applied to your frame.

Mockups can be a great way to get feedback on your designs early on in the process. They can also be used to create high-fidelity prototypes that look and feel like the real thing. With Figma’s growing library of mockup plugins, there’s no reason not to give them a try!
