As a freelancer, you are always looking for ways to protect your earnings. One way to do this is through UpWork’s Hourly Pay Protection. To qualify for this protection, you must:
- Be a freelancer who bills hourly
- Have an hourly contract on UpWork
- Have worked at least 10 hours through the UpWork platform
- Meet all of UpWork’s Terms of Service
- Have a valid payment method on file
PRO TIP: The following article discusses how to qualify for Upwork’s hourly pay protection. This is a new feature that is designed to protect freelancers who are paid by the hour on Upwork. However, it is important to note that this feature is only available to freelancers who meet certain criteria. Therefore, if you are not sure whether or not you qualify for this protection, please contact Upwork support before accepting an hourly project.
If you meet all of these requirements, you will be eligible for Hourly Pay Protection. This protection covers you in the event that your client does not pay for your work. If this happens, UpWork will pay you for up to 10 hours of work at your hourly rate, up to $1,000.
