What Is Figma Organisation?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 1:13 am

Figma is a cloud-based design tool that enables the creation of vector graphics. It was created by Dylan Field and Evan Wallace in 2012, and is currently being developed by Figma, Inc. The software is available for free, with paid subscriptions for increased storage and collaboration features.

Figma is used by designers at companies such as Google, Facebook, Netflix, and Uber. The software has been praised for its ease of use, collaboration features, and integration with other tools such as Slack and GitHub.

Figma Organization is a way to keep your project files tidy, your team organized, and your workflows streamlined. It’s based on the concept of “layers” which you can think of like folders on your computer.

PRO TIP: Figma Organisation is a tool that enables organisations to manage their design processes and workflows. It is important to note that Figma Organisation is not a replacement for traditional project management tools such as Trello or Jira. Figma Organisation should be used in conjunction with these tools to ensure that organisations are able to effectively manage their design processes.

Each project in Figma has its own Organization panel where you can create layers. Layers can contain other layers, making it easy to create a hierarchy of information. This hierarchy can be as simple or complex as you need it to be.

You can use the Organization panel to:

– Create a visual hierarchy for your project files
– See an overview of all the elements in a file
– Quickly find and select elements
– Group elements together for easy editing
– Reuse elements across files

Filling out the Organization panel is entirely optional—you can always just keep everything in one big layer if you want to. But we think it’s worth taking the time to set up a good organization system from the start, because it will save you time and headaches down the road!
