What Is Team Project in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 1:22 am

Team Project is a feature in Figma that allows multiple people to work on the same file at the same time. It’s perfect for collaborating with teammates or clients on a design project.

Each person who joins the team project will have their own version of the file, which they can edit and save independently. The changes will then be reflected in the shared file for everyone to see.

Team projects are great for when you need to get feedback from multiple people on a design. It’s also helpful for when you’re working on a team and need to be able to see everyone’s work in one place. You can use team projects to manage your design workflow and keep everyone on the same page.

PRO TIP: If you are working on a team project in Figma, be aware that there is a known issue with the “Export PDF” feature. When exporting to PDF, the pages and objects on your canvas may appear in a different order than they do in the Figma interface. This can cause confusion and frustration when trying to find specific elements in the PDF. We recommend that you export your design as an image instead of a PDF if you need to share it with others on your team.

To create a team project, simply click the “Create new team project” button in the left sidebar of Figma. Then, give your team project a name and description. You can also invite people to join your team project by entering their email address.
