Where Is Library in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 1:26 am

Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool – the company bills itself as “the first interface design tool with real-time collaboration”. It is available as a web app, macOS app, and Windows app. As of October 2019, the Figma desktop app is in beta.

Figma has some features that are unique among vector drawing applications, such as the ability to change individual anchor points on a path without affecting the rest of the path, as well as the ability to add constraints to objects so that they scale and move proportionately when other objects in the same frame are moved or resized.

PRO TIP: If you are looking for the library in Figma, be warned that it is not where you might expect it to be. The library is actually located in the top-left corner of the screen, next to the file browser.

The Figma library is a place where you can store your reusable components. When you add an item to your library, Figma will generate code for you that you can use in your design. You can also share your library with other people so that they can use the same components in their own designs.

To access the Figma library, go to File > Library. From here, you can browse through the different categories of components, or search for a specific component by name. Once you find the component you’re looking for, simply drag it into your design.
