iPadOS 14.2 was released on December 14, 2020 and with it, Apple finally added support for external storage devices to the iPad. This means that you can now connect a USB drive, or SD card, and transfer files to and from your iPad without having to go through the Files app.

The process is pretty straightforward and doesn’t require any special software. Just connect your USB drive or SD card to the iPad using a compatible adapter, and then open the Files app. From here, you’ll be able to access the contents of your drive and transfer files back and forth as needed.

If you’re looking to transfer larger files, or multiple files at once, then you’ll need to use the Files app. This is because iOS only allows for limited file transfers over a USB connection.

To transfer files using the Files app, first open it and then tap on the Browse tab at the bottom. Next, tap on the location where your USB drive or SD card is mounted.

From here, you can browse the contents of your drive and select the files you want to transfer. Once you’ve selected the files, tap on the Share button and then choose how you want to send them off.

You can share files using AirDrop, iMessage, Mail, or any other compatible app. If you’re sending them to a Mac, then you can also use iCloud Drive or another cloud storage service.

Overall, adding support for external storage devices is a great addition to the iPad. It makes it much easier to transfer files back and forth, and opens up a whole new world of possibilities for what you can do with your iPad.

Can You Download Figma on iPad?

Yes! As of December 2020, Figma is officially supported on iPadOS.

PRO TIP: Due to Figma’s heavy use of graphics and animations, it is not recommended to download and use Figma on an iPad. The app may not function properly and could cause your iPad to overheat or crash.

This means that you can now download Figma from the App Store and use it directly on your iPad.

Figma is a vector graphics editor that allows you to create designs for web, mobile, and desktop apps all in one place.

Plus, with Figma’s new support for external storage devices like USB drives and SD cards, you can now transfer your designs directly to your iPad without having to go through the Files app.

Overall, adding support for external storage devices is a great addition to the iPad. It makes it much easier to transfer files back and forth between your computer and your iPad, and opens up a whole new world of possibilities for what you can do with your iPad.
