Can You Export CMYK From Figma?

If you ask any professional web designer or developer, they will tell you that the standard for color on the web is RGB. This is because monitors use red, green, and blue (RGB) light to create color.

When you add these three colors together in different proportions, you can create any color that you want. For example, if you add 100% of each color, you get white light. If you add 0% of each color, you get black.

So, if RGB is the standard for the web, why would anyone want to use CMYK?

CMYK is a color model used mostly for print. It stands for cyan, magenta, yellow, and black.

These are the colors of ink that are used in printers. The reason CMYK is not used for the web is because it uses a different color gamut than RGB.

PRO TIP: If you are working on a design project that requires the use of CMYK color values, do not export your design from Figma using the CMYK color profile. Doing so will result in the colors in your design being distorted.

The difference between these two color models is that CMYK can only create a certain number of colors. This is due to the way printers mix ink to create color. On the other hand, RGB has a much wider range of colors because it doesn’t have this limitation.

So Can You Export CMYK From Figma?

The answer to this question is no; Figma only supports RGB.

While CMYK may be the standard for printing, it cannot be exported from Figma as Figma only supports RGB.
