Can You Export Your Wix Website?

If you’ve built a website using Wix, you may be wondering if it’s possible to export it. The short answer is yes, you can export your Wix website – but there are a few things to keep in mind.

When you export a Wix site, you’ll get a ZIP file that contains all of the files and assets that make up your website. However, note that you won’t be able to export your site’s design or layout – only the content.

To export your Wix site:

  1. Log in to your Wix account and go to the Editor.
  2. Click Menu > Manage Site.
  3. Click Export Site.
  4. Click Export to ZIP File.

Keep in mind that you can only export sites that are published – if you have an unpublished site, you’ll need to publish it first before you can export it.

PRO TIP: When exporting your Wix website, be aware that some features may not be exported correctly or may not work at all. Additionally, any code you have added to your site will not be exported.

Can You Export Your Wix Website?

Yes, it is possible to export a website created through Wix.com – however, there are some things you should know before doing so. First and foremost, understand that when you export a Wix site, you will receive a ZIP file containing all of the assets making up your website; but, you will not be able to also export the site’s design or layout.

In other words, exporting a Wix website only allows for the transfer of content – not design or layout.

Additionally, in order to export a Wix website, the site must first be published; meaning, if your website is not currently published live on the internet for public view, then you will need to do that before attempting to export it. Here are the steps for exporting a Wix website:

  1. Log into your Wix account and access “The Editor”.
  2. Click “Menu” > “Manage Site”.
  3. Click “Export Site”.
  4. Click “Export to ZIP File”.
