Can You Flip an Image in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 9:18 am

Figma is a great design tool for creating vector graphics, but one thing it doesn’t do well is flip an image. If you need to flip an image in Figma, you’ll need to use a separate tool.

There are a few different ways to flip an image in Figma. One way is to use the Flip Horizontal command in the Edit menu. This will mirror your image horizontally.

PRO TIP: If you are trying to flip an image in Figma, be aware that there is no built-in way to do this. You will need to use an external tool or plugin to perform this action.

If you need to flip your image vertically, you can use the Flip Vertical command in the Edit menu. This will mirror your image vertically.

If you need to rotate your image, you can use the Rotate command in the Edit menu. This will rotate your image by 90 degrees clockwise or counter-clockwise.

Once you’ve rotated or flipped your image, you can use the Save As command in the File menu to save it as a new file. Make sure to choose a different file name so you don’t overwrite your original file.
