How Do I Access My Backend on Wix?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 3:49 am

Wix is a popular website builder that allows users to create and design their own websites. One of the great things about Wix is that it offers a backend, which allows users to access their site’s code and make changes to it. In order to access your backend on Wix, you first need to login to your account. Once you are logged in, you will see a menu on the left-hand side of the screen. From this menu, you need to select the ‘Site’ option. Once you have done this, you will see a list of all the sites that you have created with Wix.

Select the site that you want to access the backend for and click on the ‘Edit Site’ button. This will take you to the editor for that particular site. On the left-hand side of the editor, you will see a menu with various options. One of these options is ‘Backend’. Click on this option and you will be taken to the backend for your site. From here, you can make any changes that you want to your site’s code.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, it is possible to open up your backend on Wix to anyone who has your URL. This could allow them to access sensitive information or make changes to your site without your permission. To prevent this, be sure to set up a password for your backend and never share the URL with anyone you do not trust.
