Can I Work on Fiverr With an F1 Visa?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 12:42 am

The F1 visa is a non-immigrant student visa that allows foreign students to study at accredited US colleges and universities. The F1 visa holder is also allowed to work on-campus for up to 20 hours per week.

But what about working off-campus Is it possible to work on Fiverr with an F1 visa

The answer is yes, but there are some conditions. First, you can only work off-campus if you have a valid Employment Authorization Document (EAD).

PRO TIP: Working on Fiverr with an F1 visa is not recommended as it is not an authorized work visa. This could result in serious consequences including deportation.

The EAD is obtained from the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and allows you to work in the US for a specific period of time. To be eligible for an EAD, you must be enrolled in a full-time academic program and be in good academic standing.

If you have an EAD, you can work anywhere in the US, including on Fiverr. There are no restrictions on the type of work you can do or the number of hours you can work.

However, it’s important to note that working on Fiverr is considered self-employment. As such, you’ll need to make sure that you’re compliant with all applicable tax laws.

So, if you’re looking to supplement your income with some freelance work, there’s no reason why you can’t do so on Fiverr with an F1 visa. Just make sure that you’re familiar with the relevant regulations and requirements before getting started.
