If you’re a Figma user, you know that one of the best things about the software is its customization options. You can change just about anything to suit your needs, including the shortcut keys. In this article, we’ll show you how to change the shortcut keys in Figma.

First, open up the Preferences window by going to File > Preferences (or pressing Command + , on a Mac). Then, click on the “Keyboard Shortcuts” tab.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with code or Figma’s interface, do not attempt to change the shortcut key in Figma. You could unintentionally break something and cause Figma to malfunction.

From here, you can search for the action you want to change the shortcut for, or browse through the list of actions. When you find the one you want to change, simply click on it and then press the new shortcut key combination that you want to use.

Once you’ve made your changes, be sure to click the “Save” button at the bottom of the window so that your changes will be applied.

And that’s all there is to changing shortcut keys in Figma! As you can see, it’s a pretty simple process. So if you ever need to customize your shortcuts to better suit your workflow, now you know how to do it.
