How Do I Reorder Product Categories in WooCommerce?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 6:12 pm

Organizing your product categories in WooCommerce is a great way to keep your store organized and tidy. There are a few different ways to do this, and we’ll cover the two most popular methods below.

The first method is to use the WordPress Customizer. To do this, go to Appearance > Customize from the left sidebar of your WordPress dashboard. Then, navigate to the WooCommerce > Product Categories section.

Here, you’ll see a list of all your product categories. Simply drag and drop them into the order you want them to appear in on your shop page.

The second method is to use a plugin like WooCommerce Product Categories Order. This plugin adds a new ‘Order’ field to the ‘Add New Category’ and ‘Edit Category’ screens. You can use this field to set the order in which you want the category to appear on the front-end of your store. Once you’ve installed and activated the plugin, go to Products > Categories from the left sidebar of your WordPress dashboard.

Here, you’ll see an ‘Order’ field next to each category. Simply enter a number in this field to set its order.
