If you created a Wix site and it’s not appearing online, there are a few possible explanations:
1. You haven’t published your site yet. When you create a Wix site, it’s automatically saved as a draft.
Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.
In order for your site to go live on the web, you need to publish it. To do that, click the “Publish” button in the top right-hand corner of the Wix Editor. Once you’ve published your site, it will be live on the web at the URL (web address) that you choose.
2. You’re using a free Wix plan. Free Wix plans don’t include a custom domain name (the URL that appears in your browser’s address bar).
Instead, your site will have a second-level domain, which looks like this: yourname.wixsite.com/sitename. If you want to use a custom domain name with your free Wix site, you can upgrade to a paid plan at any time.
3. You’re using an expired domain name. If you registered a custom domain name through Wix and it’s expired, your site won’t appear online.
To renew your domain name, log in to your Wix account and go to the Domains page. Then click Renew next to your domain name.
4. You changed your DNS settings. When you create a Wix site, we automatically create DNS records for you.
These records point your domain name to your Wix website. If you changed your DNS settings without pointing them to your Wix site, your website won’t appear online.
5. Your internet service provider is blocking Wix domains.
.
Some internet service providers (ISPs) block access to websites that use certain domain names. If you’re trying to visit your Wix site and it’s not appearing, contact your ISP and ask them if they’re blocking access to Wix domains.
.
Conclusion
.
There are several reasons why your Wix website might not be appearing online. The most common reason is that you haven’t published your site yet.
Other possible explanations include using a free Wix plan, having an expired domain name, or changing your DNS settings without pointing them to your Wix site. If none of these explanations apply to you, then it’s possible that your internet service provider is blocking access to Wix domains.
