How Do I Book a Calendar in WooCommerce?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 6:34 pm

If you’re using WooCommerce to sell products or services online, you may want to give your customers the ability to book appointments or schedule events directly from your website. Luckily, WooCommerce makes it easy to do just that with the Booking & Appointment Plugin for WooCommerce. In this article, we’ll show you how to install and configure the plugin, and then how to use it to book appointments and schedule events on your WooCommerce website.

Installing and Configuring the Plugin

To get started, log into your WordPress Dashboard and navigate to Plugins > Add New. Then, search for “WooCommerce Booking & Appointment” in the WordPress plugin repository. Once you’ve found the plugin, click “Install Now” and then “Activate”.

Now that the plugin is installed and activated, let’s configure it. Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Bookings & Appointments from the left-hand sidebar of your dashboard. Here, you can set up global options for your bookings, such as the currency you want to use or the minimum lead time required for bookings.

Creating a Bookable Product

Now that the plugin is set up, it’s time to create a bookable product in WooCommerce. To do this, navigate to Products > Add New from the left-hand sidebar of your dashboard.

PRO TIP: If you are using the WooCommerce Booking & Appointment plugin, please be aware that there is a known issue with the Calendar feature. If you attempt to book a calendar in WooCommerce, you may receive an error message. We recommend that you do not use the Calendar feature at this time.

Give your product a name, description, and price, and then scroll down to the Product Data section. Here, you’ll see a new tab called “Booking & Appointment”. Click on this tab and select “Enable Booking” from the dropdown menu.

Now, you can start adding booking options for your product. For example, you can choose when the booking is available, how long it lasts, how many people can be booked at once, whether or not there are time slots available, etc. Once you’ve configured all of your booking options, be sure to click “Publish” to save your changes.

Taking Bookings and Appointments

Once you’ve created a bookable product in WooCommerce, customers will be able to book appointments or schedule events directly from your website. To view and manage these bookings, navigate to WooCommerce > Bookings from the left-hand sidebar of your dashboard.

Here, you’ll see a list of all current bookings as well as any bookings that have been cancelled or completed. You can also add new bookings manually from this page.

Conclusion
Now that you know how to install and configure the Booking & Appointment Plugin for WooCommerce, as well as how to use it to create bookable products and take bookings from customers, you’re ready to start selling appointments and scheduling events on your WooCommerce website.
