How Do I Move a Group in Figma?

Last updated on December 2, 2022 @ 4:54 am

There are a few different ways that you can move a group in Figma. You can use the Selection tool to click and drag the group, you can use the Move tool to nudge the group, or you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the group.

If you want to move a group using the Selection tool, simply click on the group with your mouse and then click and drag it to where you want it to go. You can also use the Move tool to nudge the group around.

To do this, select the Move tool from the toolbar and then click on the group. Then, use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the group around.

You can also use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move a group around without having to select any tools. To do this, simply select the group and then use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move it.

Whichever method you choose, moving groups in Figma is easy and straightforward. So go ahead and try it out for yourself!

PRO TIP: If you’re moving a group in Figma, be careful not to accidentally select any individual elements within the group. If you do, they’ll be moved out of the group and you’ll have to put them back in.
