Figma is a vector graphics editor and design tool, available for free online. It’s used by professionals to create high quality designs for both digital and print media. You can use Figma to create illustrations, logos, user interfaces, and more.

If you’re a designer or Illustrator who uses Ubuntu, you may be wondering how you can open Figma files on your computer. The good news is that it’s actually very easy to do!

First, you’ll need to download the Figma Desktop app for Ubuntu. You can do this by visiting the Figma website and clicking on the “Download” button. Once the app is downloaded, you can install it by double-clicking on the downloaded file and following the prompts.

Once the Figma Desktop app is installed, you can launch it by clicking on the “Figma” icon that appears in your Applications menu. Once the app is open, you can click on the “File” menu and then select “Open.”

This will open a new window where you can navigate to the location of your Figma file. Simply select the file and click “Open.”

Your Figma file will now open in the Figma Desktop app and you can begin working on it just as you would any other design project!

PRO TIP: If you are using Ubuntu, you may be able to open a Figma file using the default application. However, we do not recommend this approach as it may result in data loss or file corruption.

So there you have it! Opening a Figma file in Ubuntu is easy when you have the Figma Desktop app installed. Just launch the app and navigate to your file’s location to get started.
