How Do I Open a Figma File in After Effects?

If you’re a graphic designer, you’re probably familiar with Figma. It’s a great vector-based design tool that’s become increasingly popular in recent years. And if you’re a motion graphic designer, you may be wondering how to open a Figma file in After Effects.

The good news is that it’s actually pretty easy to do! Here’s a quick step-by-step guide:

1. First, open your Figma file in the web app.

2. Then, click on the “File” menu in the top-left corner and select “Export.”

3. In the Export dialog box, make sure to select “SVG” from the drop-down menu next to “Format.”

4. Finally, click on the “Export” button and choose where you want to save the file.

That’s all there is to it! Once you’ve exported your Figma file as an SVG, you can simply open it in After Effects by going to File > Import > File. Just make sure that you select “Composition” from the Import Type drop-down menu.

PRO TIP: This is a potentially dangerous question as it could lead to data loss. Make sure you have a backup before proceeding.
