As a Shopify store owner, you may need to give another person access to your store so they can help you with it. This is called “collaborator access.”
There are two ways to give someone collaborator access to your Shopify store:
- Invite them from the Shopify admin
To invite someone to be a collaborator on your Shopify store from the admin:
- From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Account.
- In the Store collaborators section, click Invite collaborator.
- Enter the email address of the person you want to invite, then click Send invitation.
The person you invited will receive an email with a link to accept or decline your invitation.
- Share your private app with them
Note:“Private apps are only available to stores that are on a Shopify Plus plan.”

After you share your private app with someone, they’ll be able to install it from the Shopify App Store. They’ll also be able to access its unlisted settings in the App settings page, which is only available to people who have installed the app.

>As mentioned before, accepting collaborator access on Shopify is done through an email invitation sent by the store owner. Once you receive this email, simply click on the “Accept Invitation” button and follow the prompts to set up your account and password.
That’s it! You now have full access to help manage the store as a collaborator.
