Can I Send an Offer to a Client on UpWork?

Last updated on September 30, 2022 @ 9:46 pm

As a freelancer, you are always looking for new clients and ways to expand your business. You may have heard of UpWork, a website that connects freelancers with clients. But you may be wondering, can I send an offer to a client on UpWork?

The answer is yes, you can! In fact, sending an offer is a great way to get started on UpWork.

To send an offer, simply go to the client’s profile page and click the “Send Offer” button. From there, you will be able to write a message to the client and include your proposal. Be sure to include all the details of your offer, such as your hourly rate, what services you will provide, and how long you will work for the client.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about sending an offer to a client on Upwork, be warned that this is against the site’s terms of service. This means that if you do so, you risk having your account suspended or even banned. So, unless you are absolutely sure that the client is okay with receiving offers outside of Upwork, it’s best to avoid doing this altogether.

Once you have sent your offer, the client will have 14 days to accept or decline it. If they do not respond within that time period, your offer will automatically expire.

If your offer is accepted, congrats! You are now ready to start working with your new client.

Sending an offer is a great way to get started on UpWork.
