DigitalOcean bills customers for usage on an hourly basis. Usage is measured in GBs transferred, CPU usage, and amount of storage used.

Customers are charged for each hour of usage. In addition, DigitalOcean charges for bandwidth used. [1] .

The billing process works as follows:

1. When a customer starts using DigitalOcean, they are assigned an invoice number.

2. Customers are charged for each hour of usage.

3. Customers are notified of their current bill on the Billing page.

4. Customers can review their past usage on the History page.

5. Customers can pay their bill using the Payment page.

6. If a customer has an outstanding balance, they will be notified and will have to pay the balance using the Payment page.

7. If a customer wants to cancel their account, they can do so on the Account page.
