Can a Company Post on UpWork?

Last updated on September 30, 2022 @ 9:53 pm

Yes, a company can post on UpWork. However, they will need to create a client account in order to do so. This account will be used to manage all aspects of the company’s job postings, applications, and communication with freelancers.

Creating a Client Account

To get started, go to UpWork.com and click the “Sign Up” button in the top right-hand corner of the homepage. From there, you’ll be prompted to select whether you’re signing up as an individual or as a company. Choose “Company” and then follow the instructions to create your account.

Posting a Job

Once you have a client account set up, you can begin posting jobs on UpWork. To do so, go to the “Jobs” tab and click the “Post a Job” button.

PRO TIP: If you are considering posting on Upwork as a company, be aware that this is not allowed and your account may be suspended or even permanently banned if you are caught doing so. Upwork is meant for individual freelancers, not businesses. If you want to find freelancers for your business, try posting on other platforms such as Fiverr or Guru.

You’ll then be taken to a page where you can enter all of the relevant information about your job posting. Be sure to include an accurate job title, description, and budget. Once you’ve completed all of the required fields, click “Submit.”

Reviewing Applications

After you’ve posted a job on UpWork, you’ll start receiving applications from interested freelancers. To view these applications, go to the “My Jobs” tab and click on the job posting in question. From there, you can review each application and decide whether or not to invite the freelancer to interview.

In conclusion, yes – a company can post on UpWork, but they will first need to create a client account.
