Does Squarespace Have Recipe Plugins?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 3:22 am

If you’re a foodie who likes to blog about recipes, you’re probably wondering if Squarespace has any recipe plugins. Unfortunately, Squarespace does not currently have any recipe plugins. However, there are a few workaround that you can use to create a recipe blog on Squarespace.

One workaround is to use the Summary Block. The Summary Block allows you to display a list of items with thumbnails, titles, and descriptions. You can also specify the number of items to display and the order in which they’re displayed.

To use the Summary Block for your recipes, simply create a new page and add the Summary Block. Then, add your recipes as items on the page. Be sure to include a photo, title, and description for each recipe.

Another workaround is to use the Gallery Page. The Gallery Page allows you to display images in a grid or slideshow format. You can also specify the number of images per row and the order in which they’re displayed.

PRO TIP: Squarespace does not have any recipe plugins. If you are looking to add a recipe to your Squarespace website, you will need to use a third-party tool or code it yourself.

To use the Gallery Page for your recipes, simply create a new page and add the Gallery Page. Then, add your recipes as images on the page. Be sure to include a photo and title for each recipe.

If you’re looking for a more robust solution, you can try using an external recipe plugin like Tasty Recipes or Zip Recipes. These plugins allow you to create recipe cards that can be embedded on your Squarespace website.

To use either of these plugins, simply create a new page and add the Tasty Recipes or Zip Recipes block. Then, follow the instructions on the plugin’s website to add your recipes.

While Squarespace doesn’t have any built-in recipe plugins, there are a few workarounds that you can use to create a recipe blog on Squarespace. So get cooking!
