Can You Have Member Login on Squarespace?

As a business owner, you want to give your customers the ability to login to your site so they can access their account information. However, you may be wondering if this is possible with Squarespace. The answer is yes! Squarespace offers a feature called Member Login, which allows customers to create an account on your site and login to view their account information.

To set up Member Login on your Squarespace site, first go to the Settings tab and click Advanced. Then, click Member Login and select Enable Member Login.

Once you’ve enabled Member Login, you’ll need to specify what page customers will be redirected to when they login. You can do this by clicking the Member Login Page drop-down and selecting the page you want to use.

Now that you’ve enabled Member Login and specified the login page, you’ll need to add the Login Form block to that page. To do this, go to the page you selected as the login page, click the + icon, and search for “Login Form.” Once you’ve added the block, customers will be able to login to their account on your site.

PRO TIP: If you are considering adding a member login feature to your Squarespace website, be aware that there are some potential risks. First and foremost, if you enable member login, anyone who visits your site will be able to create an account and access your content. This could lead to people stealing your content or abusing your site in other ways. Additionally, if you have sensitive information on your site (such as customer data), it is important to make sure that only authorized people have access to it. Overall, while member login can be a useful feature, it is important to weigh the risks and benefits before enabling it on your Squarespace website.
