Does Wix Remit Sales Tax?

When you set up your Wix account, you’re asked to select your country and state. Based on this information, Wix charges the appropriate sales tax for your area on all paid plans. The tax is included in the price you see displayed when you upgrade.

If you’re a US-based business and you have a Wix Tax ID (EIN), you can exempt yourself from paying sales tax on your Wix account. To do this, please follow these steps:

1. Go to upgrade.

2. Click on the Have a Tax ID? link below the payment method selection.

3. Enter your EIN in the Tax ID field.

4. Click on the Apply button.

Note: If you’re based outside of the US, Wix doesn’t currently offer sales tax exemption.

PRO TIP: WARNING: Wix does not remit sales tax on behalf of its users. It is the responsibility of the user to remit any applicable sales taxes to the appropriate tax authority.
