If you’re running a WooCommerce store, you’ve probably noticed that the stock message is displayed on each product page. This message is generated by WooCommerce and can’t be changed without some custom code or a plugin. In this article, we’ll show you how to change the stock message in WooCommerce.

The first thing you need to do is install and activate the WooCommerce Custom Stock Message plugin. For more information, see our step by step guide on how to install a WordPress plugin.

Upon activation, you need to visit WooCommerce > Settings page to configure the plugin settings. On the settings page, you will find three tabs; General, Out of Stock, and Low Stock. Each tab has its own options.

General Settings

The first option under the general tab allows you to choose where the custom stock message will be displayed on the product page. By default, it is set to display above the add to cart button.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to change the stock message in WooCommerce, be aware that this could potentially break your store. Always create a backup before making any changes to your site.

Out of Stock Settings

On the out of stock settings tab, you can choose to display a custom message when a product is out of stock. You can also choose to hide the price and add to cart button when a product is out of stock.

Low Stock Settings

Similarly, on the low stock settings tab, you can choose to display a custom message when a product’s stock is low. You can also choose whether or not to hide the price and add to cart button when a product’s stock is low.

That’s it! You have successfully changed the stock message in WooCommerce.

In conclusion, if you want to change the stock message in WooCommerce, you’ll need to either use custom code or install a plugin like WooCommerce Custom Stock Message.
