How Do I Change the Alert Message in WooCommerce?

If you’re using WooCommerce to run your online store, you may want to change the alert message that appears when a customer adds an item to their cart. By default, WooCommerce displays a simple “Product has been added to your cart” message, but you can change this to something more specific or stylish using the following method.

First, open your WooCommerce settings page and go to the “Checkout” tab. Next, find the “Cart Page” section and look for the “Add to cart” text field.

Here, you can enter any text you like – we’ll use “Item has been added to your cart” as our example. Once you’ve entered your new text, be sure to save your changes.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about changing the alert message in WooCommerce, be aware that this can have unintended consequences. Now open up the file where your WooCommerce template resides (likely called WooCommerce.php). Find the line of code that contains the old “Product has been added to your cart” message, and replace it with your new text.

That’s it! Save your changes and test it out on your site.
