What Are Squarespace Transaction Fees?

When you set up a Squarespace account, you have the option to connect it to a domain name that you already own, or purchase a new one through Squarespace. If you choose to purchase a domain through Squarespace, your first year is free. After that, there is an annual fee of $20.

There are also transaction fees when you make a sale through Squarespace. For sales processed through Stripe (which is the default payment processor on Squarespace), there is a 2.9% + $0.30 fee per transaction. If you use another payment processor, such as PayPal, there may be different fees.

You can see all the fees associated with your account by going to the Billing & Accounting page in your site’s dashboard.
