How Do I Make All My Images the Same Size in Shopify?

Last updated on January 10, 2023 @ 6:34 pm

There are a few ways to make all of your images the same size in Shopify. One way is to use the built-in theme settings. Another way is to use CSS.

To use the built-in theme settings, go to your theme settings and look for the “Image Size” setting. From there, you can select the desired width and height for all of your product images.

To use CSS, you can add the following code to your theme’s CSS file:

img {
width: 400px;
height: 400px;
}

This will make all of your images 400px by 400px. You can adjust the width and height values to whatever you want.

PRO TIP: If you are using Shopify to create a website or online store, you may want to know how to make all your images the same size. This can be helpful if you want to create a consistent look for your site, or if you need to resize your images for a specific reason.

Before you start, it's important to note that Shopify does not recommend using images that are larger than 2048x2048 pixels. Images that are too large can slow down your site, and may not display properly on all devices.

To resize your images:

1. Go to the Settings tab in your Shopify admin.
2. Under "Files and images," click File settings.
3. In the "Image sizes" section, select the image size that you want to resize from the drop-down menu. For example, if you want all your images to be 400x400 pixels, select 400x400 from the menu.
4. Click Save changes.

Keep in mind that resizing your images will not change the file size of the original image. To reduce the file size of your images, see Compressing and resizing images in Shopify.

There are a few other methods that you can use to make all of your images the same size in Shopify, but these are the two most common methods.
