Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 7:41 pm

Are you thinking about transferring your Shopify store to WordPress? Maybe you’re not happy with Shopify’s features or fees, or maybe you just want to try something new.

Whatever the reason, transferring your store from Shopify to WordPress is actually quite easy to do. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it:

1. Export your Shopify data. Go to your Shopify admin panel and click on “Products.” From there, click on the “Export” button at the top right.

You’ll be given the option to export all of your products or just selected products. Choose whichever option you prefer and then click “Export. ”

2. Create a WordPress account.

If you don’t already have a WordPress account, go to WordPress.com and create one. Once you have your account, log in and go to your Dashboard.

3. Install the WooCommerce plugin.

In your Dashboard, go to the “Plugins” section and click “Add New.” Search for “WooCommerce” and install the plugin. Once it’s installed, activate it.

4. Configure WooCommerce. After activating WooCommerce, you’ll be taken to a configuration page.

Here you can set up things like shipping rates, taxes, and payment methods. Fill out the required information and then click “Save Changes. ”

5. Import your Shopify data into WooCommerce. Go back to the “Products” section of your Shopify admin panel and click on the “Export” button again.

This time, select the option to export your data as a CSV file. Once you have your CSV file, go back to your WordPress Dashboard and in the WooCommerce section, click on “Import.” Select “Products” from the list of options and then upload your CSV file.

6. Set up your WordPress store. Now that your products are imported into WooCommerce, it’s time to set up the rest of your store.

In the WordPress Dashboard, go to the “Appearance” section and select “Themes.” Find a theme that you like and install it.

7. That’s it!

You’ve successfully transferred your Shopify store to WordPress. Now all you need to do is start adding products and creating pages. If you run into any problems along the way, feel free to reach out to our support team for help.

PRO TIP: If you are considering transferring your Shopify store to a WordPress site, be aware that there are some risks involved. WordPress is a self-hosted platform, which means you will need to set up and manage your own web server. This can be complex and time-consuming, and if you’re not familiar with web hosting, it’s best to hire a professional. Also, keep in mind that your Shopify data will not transfer automatically to WordPress. You will need to export your Shopify data and import it into WordPress manually. If you’re not comfortable with doing this, again, it’s best to hire a professional.
