In this article, we will cover how to connect your DigitalOcean database to the cloud.
First, you will need to create a DigitalOcean account. Once you have an account, log in and navigate to the Droplets section.
Click on the Create Droplet button and select the Databases option. .
On the Database Creation Wizard, you will need to provide the name of your database and the type of database you wish to create. For this example, we will be creating a MySQL database.
Next, you will need to provide your database credentials. For this example, we will be using the username root and the password rootpassword.
Now, you will need to provide the location of your database files. For this example, we will be using the path /opt/mysql.
You can optionally provide a password for the database files if you wish.
Once you have completed the Database Creation Wizard, your database will be created and ready to use.
To connect your database to the cloud, you will first need to create a connection to the cloud. You can do this by clicking on the Connect to Cloud button and providing your DigitalOcean credentials.
Next, you will need to provide the connection information for your database. For this example, we will be using the hostname localhost and the port 3306.
Finally, you will need to provide the connection information for your database instance. For this example, we will be using the instance name mydb.
Once you have completed the connection information, your database will be connected to the cloud and ready to use.
