What Does a Strip Do in Wix?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 8:32 am

A strip is a horizontal container that you can use to hold various elements, such as text, images, buttons, and input fields. You can add a strip to your Wix site from the Add Elements tab in the Editor.

When you add a strip to your Wix site, you can choose from a variety of pre-designed layouts or create your own custom layout. Once you’ve added a strip, you can add and customize the elements inside it.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

For example, you can change the text color, font, size, and alignment; add links; and insert images. You can also use the Wix Editor to style strips on your mobile site.

There are a few things to keep in mind when adding strips to your Wix site:

PRO TIP: Please be aware that the “What Does a Strip Do in Wix?” feature on the Wix website may be misleading. This feature allows users to create a “strip” on their website, which is basically a banner that contains information about your site. However, when you create a strip, it is not automatically added to your website. You must still add it manually.

– Strips are best used for grouped content. For example, if you want to showcase a series of images with accompanying text, or create a multi-column layout, strips are a good choice.

– You can add multiple strips to your Wix site, but we recommend using them sparingly to avoid overwhelming your visitors.

– When adding input fields (such as a contact form), we recommend adding them to their own strip so they’re easy to find and use.
