Can You Make a Collection Within a Collection on Shopify?

Last updated on January 10, 2023 @ 4:06 pm

As an ecommerce platform, Shopify provides users with a number of different ways to organize their products. One way to do this is by creating collections within collections, which can be helpful if you have a lot of products or if you want to create a specific customer experience.

To create a collection within a collection on Shopify, you first need to create a top-level collection. This is the collection that will contain your other collections. To do this, go to your Shopify admin and click on “Products.” Then, click on “Collections.” Next, click on the “Add collection” button.

Give your top-level collection a name and description, then click on the “Save collection” button.

Once you’ve done this, you can start adding collections to your top-level collection. To do this, go back to the “Collections” page and click on the name of your top-level collection. Then, click on the “Add sub-collection” button.

Give your sub-collection a name and description, then click on the “Save collection” button. Repeat these steps for each sub-collection that you want to add. Once you’ve created all of your collections, you can start adding products to them. To do this, go to the “Products” page and click on the name of the product that you want to add.

PRO TIP: If you are planning on making a collection within a collection on Shopify, be aware that there are some potential risks. First, if you have a lot of products in your collections, your site may load slowly. Additionally, if you change the products in one collection, it may affect the products in the other collection, which could cause confusion for your customers.

Next, scroll down to the “Collections” section and click on the checkbox next to each collection that you want to add the product to. Finally, click on the “Save changes” button.
