If you’re using Squarespace, you can add a DNS TXT record by following these instructions:

1. Log in to your Squarespace account and go to the Domains page.

2. Click the domain you want to edit.

3. Scroll down to the Advanced DNS Settings section and click Add record.

4.

Select TXT Record, then enter the required information:

  • Name/Host/Alias:
@ or leave blank to apply to all subdomains
  • TTL:
    14400 or lower
  • Record Type:
    TXT Record
PRO TIP: If you are considering adding a DNS TXT record to your Squarespace account, be aware that this could potentially disrupt your website’s DNS settings and cause your site to become inaccessible. Proceed with caution and consult with a Squarespace expert before making any changes.
  1. Text:
Enter the text you want to add.
Note:. If you’re adding a record for a subdomain, you’ll need to include the subdomain in the Name/Host/Alias field (for example, subdomain._domainkey.example.com.) If you’re adding a wildcard record, use an asterisk (*) in the Name/Host/Alias field (for example, *.) For more information about wildcard records, see Using Wildcard DNS Records. If you’re adding a TXT record for SPF verification, see Verifying Your Domain with SPF Records. For more information about all supported record types, see About DNS Records and Types. For general information about editing DNS records, see Editing DNS Records on Your Domain.

6. Click Save Record.

That’s it! You’ve successfully added a DNS TXT record to your Squarespace account.
