There are a few different ways that you can move content from one Squarespace site to another. You can either export your content from your current site and then import it into your new site, or you can use the content migration tool to move your content directly from one site to another.
If you want to export your content from your current site, you can do so by going to the Settings tab and then clicking on the Export button. This will export all of your content as a JSON file.
You can then import this file into your new site by going to the Settings tab and clicking on the Import button.
There is a possibility that your content could be lost or corrupted during the transfer process. Additionally, your new site may not be configured correctly to display the imported content correctly.
Before proceeding, we recommend backing up your content and consulting with a Squarespace expert to ensure a successful transition.
If you want to use the content migration tool, you first need to add both of your sites to your Content Manager. To do this, go to the Sites tab and click on the Add Site button. Enter the URL of both of your sites and then click on the Add Site button.
Once both of your sites have been added, click on the Migrate Content button. Select the site that you want to migrate your content from and then select the site that you want to migrate your content to. Click on the Migrate Content button and your content will be migrated from one site to another.
