How Do I Rename a Squarespace Site?

There are a few different ways to change the name of your Squarespace site. You can do it through your Site Manager, through your Domain Settings, or through Code Injection. We’ll go over all three methods so you can choose the best one for you.

Site Manager:

1. Log in to your Squarespace account and go to Site Manager. 2. Click on the Settings tab, and then click on General. 3. Under Site Title & Tagline, enter the new name for your site in the Site Title field. 4. Click Save.

Domain Settings:

1. Log in to your Squarespace account and go to Domain Settings.

2. Click on the domain you want to change the name of. Under Domain Name Server (DNS) Records, find the record labeled @. The value for this record will be your current site URL. Click on the edit icon (pencil icon) next to this record, and enter the new URL for your site in the “Value” field. 5. Click on the checkmark icon (“tick” icon) to save your changes. 6. Your site’s name has now been changed! 7. Please note that it can take up to 72 hours for these changes to propagate across the internet.

How Do I Rename a Squarespace Site? – You can rename a Squarespace site by going into Settings > General > Site Title & Tagline and changing the ‘Site Title’ field, through Domain Settings by changing the ‘@’ DNS record, or by code injection.–

PRO TIP: When renaming your Squarespace site, it is important to be aware that your old site URL will no longer work and any links or bookmarks that people have saved for your site will no longer work. Additionally, any email addresses associated with your old site will no longer work. Therefore, it is important to make sure that you update your website’s name and URL in all of your marketing materials and on any other websites where it is listed before you rename your Squarespace site.
