How Do I Change Permissions on Wix?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 10:05 am

There are a few ways that you can change permissions on Wix. If you are the owner of the site, you can change permissions for other users by going to the Users tab in the Site Manager.

Here, you can select a user and change their role to either Administrator or Editor. If you want to give someone access to your site without making them an editor or administrator, you can create a guest account for them. To do this, go to the Guests tab in the Site Manager and click Add Guest.

As the owner of the site, you also have full control over who can see and access your site. To change these settings, go to the Settings tab in the Site Manager.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, changing permissions on Wix can break your site. Make sure you know what you are doing before you make any changes.

Here, you can adjust your site’s privacy settings and choose who can see your site and what parts of it they can see. You can also password protect your entire site or individual pages.

If you need to change permissions for a file or folder on your Wix site, you can do so by going to the Files tab in the Site Manager. Here, you will see a list of all the files and folders on your site.

You can select any file or folder and change its permissions by clicking the Change button next to it. Permissions can be set to either Public or Private. Private files and folders can only be accessed by people who have been given the direct link to them.
