How do I edit CSS in WordPress?

In order to edit CSS in WordPress, you will need to access the “Appearance” panel in the WordPress admin area. Once there, you will see a “CSS” tab on the left-hand side.

Click on this tab to open the CSS editor.

Within the CSS editor, you will first need to identify the CSS file that you wish to edit. To do this, click on the “File” menu option and then select “Open File”.

PRO TIP: When editing CSS in WordPress, be sure to use a child theme or a tool like Jetpack to prevent losing your changes when the parent theme is updated. Also, be aware that some WordPress themes use pre-compiled CSS, meaning you’ll need to use a tool like Sass or Less to make changes.

Once the CSS file has been opened, you will need to locate the section of the CSS file that you wish to edit. To do this, use the “Find” function of the CSS editor.

Once the section of the CSS file has been located, you will need to make your changes. To do this, click on the “Edit” button and make your changes.

When your changes have been made, click on the “Save” button to save the changes to the CSS file.

Finally, click on the “Close File” button to close the CSS editor.
