How Do I Get Rid of Pop Ups on Shopify?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 10:12 pm

Pop-ups can be annoying, especially if they’re constantly interrupting your shopping experience. But luckily, there are a few ways to get rid of pop-ups on Shopify.

First, you can try disabling pop-ups in your browser settings. For Chrome, go to Settings > Advanced > Site Settings > Pop-ups and redirects and toggle the switch off. For Safari, go to Preferences > Websites > Pop-up Windows and select Block and/or Notify.

PRO TIP: If you are experiencing pop ups on your Shopify store, it is important to take action immediately to rid your store of them. Pop ups can be caused by a number of things, including malicious code on your site, or a third-party app that is not compatible with Shopify. Whatever the cause, pop ups can be intrusive and disruptive to the user experience, so it is important to get rid of them as soon as possible.

There are a few things you can do to get rid of pop ups on your Shopify store:

1. Check for and remove any malicious code on your site. This can be done by running a malware scan on your site, or contacting a professional to help you clean up your code.

2. Disable any third-party apps that may be causing the pop ups. You can do this by going to the Apps section of your Shopify admin and clicking on the app that you suspect is causing the problem. Then, click on the Disable button.

3. If you are still seeing pop ups after taking these steps, you may need to contact Shopify support for further assistance.

If that doesn’t work, or if you’re using a different browser, you can try using a pop-up blocker extension or plugin. For Chrome, we recommend the AdBlock or uBlock Origin extension. For Safari, try the Popup Blocker Ultimate extension.

Finally, if all else fails, you can always contact Shopify support and they’ll help you out.

So there you have it! A few different ways to get rid of those pesky pop-ups on Shopify.
