How Do I Import a Review in WooCommerce?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 10:29 pm

If you’re running a WooCommerce store, you know how important customer reviews are. They provide social proof that helps convert potential customers into actual paying customers.

One way to get customer reviews is to import them from an external source. In this post, we’ll show you how to do just that.

First, you’ll need to install and activate the Review Importer for WooCommerce plugin. For more information on how to do this, please see our documentation.

Once the plugin is activated, you’ll need to go to WooCommerce > Settings > Import Reviews and configure the following settings:

Reviews CSV File: This is the CSV file that contains your customer reviews.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about importing a review into WooCommerce, be warned that there is no guarantee that the imported review will be of good quality. In fact, it is quite likely that the imported review will be of poor quality and may even contain malicious code.

Product ID Column: This is the column in your CSV file that contains the product ID for each review.

Rating Column: This is the column in your CSV file that contains the rating for each review.

Review Column: This is the column in your CSV file that contains the actual review text.

Author Column: This is the column in your CSV file that contains the author name for each review.

Date Column: This is the column in your CSV file that contains the date for each review.

Now that you’ve configured the plugin settings, click on the “Import” button to import your customer reviews into WooCommerce.
