There are two types of subscriptions in WooCommerce: Simple and Variable. Simple subscriptions are for a single product, whereas Variable subscriptions can be for multiple products. You can offer subscriptions for both physical and digital products.
To offer a subscription, you first need to create a product.
Go to: WooCommerce > Products > Add Product. Give your product a name, description, and price. Scroll down to the Product Data section, and select Simple Subscription or Variable Subscription from the dropdown menu.
If you’re offering a Simple Subscription, add the following information:
- Choose whether to sign up customers to your subscription immediately or send them an email with a link to sign up.
- The duration of the subscription.
- The billing schedule.
If you’re offering a Variable Subscription, you’ll also need to set the following:
- The price per period for each variation of the subscription product.
- The shipping price per period for each variation of the subscription product (optional).
